Coconut-milk Yogurt is low in carbohydrates, has no artificial sweeteners and tastes great
This Coconut-Milk Yogurt is a tasty option anytime of day including for breakfast or snack. Unfortunately, most store bought yogurts are loaded with sugar, artificial sweeteners, inflammatory ingredients, and other things all weight loss surgery patients need to avoid.
You literally have to read the ingredients of every flavor to make sure it is worthy of purchasing.
Say What! A Low-Carb Yogurt?
Coconut-Milk yogurt is a little different than a milk based yogurt as it is low in carbohydrates and high in healthy fats. But, contains no protein. In this recipe, the healthy fats are the star.
Improve weight loss, cholesterol and heart health
Coconut milk provides the best source of Lauric Acid, which is a protective type of fat that can help improve cholesterol and heart health(1). Coconut milk is also a medium-chain triglyceride(MCT), which has been shown to decrease adipose tissue and help prevent or potentially stimulate weight loss(2).
INGREDIENTS
Simple Coconut-Milk Yogurt
2 cans full-fat unsweetened coconut milk
2 GastricHealth WLS Formulated Probiotic Capsules
DIRECTIONS
BLEND AND ENJOY!
Empty both cans coconut milk into a blender. Pull-apart and empty 2 capsules of probiotics into the blender. Transfer to a 1-quart glass jar with a tight-fitting lid. Store somewhere warm in your house(I chose my laundry room). After 24-48 hours it should smell like yogurt. If it is still to runny let it continue until 72 hours has been reached and it should be thick and tangy. Store in the refrigerator for up to a week. Just add your favorite mix-ins: berries, nuts, raw honey, chia or flax seeds
